CASA BEYT HOME—launched during New York Textile Month—creates cross-cultural dialogue through design. We curate designers from the Middle East and Central America who create home decor using a mix of innovative as well as traditional designs/techniques. We also host workshops in embroidery and weaving.
Our participating studios share a commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and heritage. Their production creates positive social impact within their communities in Guatemala, Egypt, Turkey, Lebanon, and Mexico, while their products share their culturally rich stories with the world.
My personal journey has brought me from a design studio in Lebanon to a textile mill in Guatemala after completing my MFA in textiles at the Rhode Island School of Design... I now invite you to explore and be inspired by this fusion of Middle Eastern and Central American textiles and designs for your home—'casa' in Spanish and 'beyt' in Arabic. ¡Yalla, vamos!
