At AD, we love a pop-up... As part of Li Edelkoort’s New York Textile Month, Casa Beyt Home has launched its first ever pop-up showcasing objects from 16 different artisans and designers. The shop houses textiles, rugs, furniture, and small gifts, all gathered from the Middle East and Central America. Curated by Denise Maroney, the pop-up has a special design-doing-good angle. "A select number of objects are made by refugee women living in Lebanon; all proceeds from the sale of their embroidery will go directly back to their textile co-ops and NGOs," Maroney says.
